ROOM REDO and WEARABLE ART summer camps!

Come join us at From Art to Zebras for summer camp! July 27-30 we will be holding two fantastic art camps! The first, Room Redo is a camp from 9-12:30 where you will bring your room dimensions and we will map out your dream room using the elements of design and your imagination. We will design and make accessories to go along with your dream room too like light switch covers, decoupage lamp shades, and hand stitched pillows that you design! The cost for this camp is $120. The other camp, Wearable Art, is from 1-3 in the afternoon and in that camp we will make art that you can wear! Don't limit art to a canvas, express yourself in what you wear! Sunny Summer Fun!

We hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July holiday! We're coming back with a bang with some awesome special events and camps!

We have Storybook Celebration this Friday, July 10 from 4-5pm. We'll read Olivia Forms a Band, make our own musical instruments, and have a musical snack. The cost is $9/child or $15/family.

We also have Parents' Night Out this Friday, July 10 from 6-9pm. We'll watch "Hotel for Dogs," stuff puppies of our own, create unique dog tags, play games, and have pizza and dessert. The cost is $25/child or $20/each for 2 or more.

This is the last week to sign up for our Jungle Fever Camp, A2Z Survivor Camp, and Natural Art Afternoon Artist Colony which take place July 20-23.

The Jungle Fever Camp is from 9am-12:30pm. We'll go bananas as we make our own stuffed jungle animals and let loose with lots of games and wild activities. The cost is $120.

The A2Z Survivor Camp is from 9am-12:30pm. Outwit. Outplay. Outlast. Loads of mindnumbing challenges and extreme activities. Don't worry, you won't be voted off! The cost is $120.

The Natural Art Afternoon Artist Colony is from 1-3pm. We'll let nature inspire our work and even incorporate it into our projects. The cost is $75.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July, everyone! We hope you all enjoy the holiday, celebrating our nation's independence and spending time with your family! We have an awesome event for you to put on your calendar! On July 8, 9, and 10 from 10am-12pm, we are doing an Acrylic Paint Workshop. The kids will learn all about acrylic paint and different tools that can be used with it. They'll also explore different styles of painting. Call today for more information and to sign up!

Also, this is the last week to sign up for our Magic Treehouse #5-8 Camp and Art Through the Ages Afternoon Artist Colony. They are the week of July 13-16. The Magic Treehouse Camp is from 9am-12:30pm. We'll travel through history as we explore the next set of Magic Treehouse stories and create our own adventures! The cost is $120. The Art Through the Ages Afternoon Artist Colony is from 1-3pm. We'll explore some of the past Masters of Art while we use their works to inspire our own! The cost is $75. Call today to sign up!

Summertime Fun!

Our summer has gotten off to a great start here at From Art to Zebras! The first summer camp, "Take a Chill," was a huge hit with the kids! They greatly enjoyed stuffing polar animals, creating a snow village, and making their own ice cream! Our "Weird Science" Camp was a blast! The children explored science by participating in ooey, gooey, experiments. The children's favorite was definitely making flubber! Our "ReClaimed Art" Afternoon Artist Colony was a success as well! The children used recycled materials to make their own unique creations. Our next camps are July 13-16. From 9-12:30pm, we have "Magic Treehouse Adventure #5-8." We'll travel through history as we explore the next set of Magic Treehouse stories and create our own adventures! This camp is for ages 4-7 and 8-12, and costs $120. From 1-3pm, we have "Art Through the Ages" Afternoon Artist Colony. We'll explore some of the past Masters of Art while we use their works to inspire our own. Parents' Night Out Friday, June 12

Special Parents' Night Out at Pump It Up!

Join us this Friday, May 29 from 6-9pm for a special Parents' Night Out at Pump It Up!  Parents, drop off your kids with us at Pump It Up and enjoy a night out!  There'll be jumping and bouncing, creating and crafting!  Pizza will be served.  All ages are welcome; must be potty trained.  The cost is $25/each or $20 each for 2 or more.  RSVP today to reserve your spot at this special Parents' Night Out!

Fun Stuff!

We've been having a great time lately here at From Art to Zebras!  Our Parents' Night Out and Girls' Night Out this month were big hits!  This picture was taken at Girls' Night Out: Beverly Hills Chihuahua.  We watched the movie, had pizza and dessert, stuffed animals, and made them some special bling!  The girls had a blast!  Don't forget about our Parents' Night Out at Pump It Up on May 29th from 6-9pm.  There'll be jumping and bouncing, creating and crafting.  Pizza will also be served.  Drop the kids off with us for an awesome time while you enjoy a night out!

Summer is beginning!

Hello all!  Even though the weather doesn't feel like it today, summer is coming!  Our summer session has begun here at From Art to Zebras.  We're offering great new classes and workshops, and we also have some fun new drop-in projects.  And don't forget, we're still registering for summer camps!  We know the economy is keeping some families strapped, so we're offering some great deals and discounts this summer!  Here's what's going on this week:

Creative Classes

Science Club May 12 5-6pm

What's in the sky?  How does weather work?  Ever wonder what makes up the atmosphere?  Then join us in our Science Club this summer!  We will satisfy your curiosity of the Earth's outer layers through crafts and books.

Pyramids & Mummies May 13 5-6:30pm

Travel through time in our Pyramids and Mummies summer Geography Club.  Learn about Egypt with games, crafts, and other hands-on projects.  Great for ages 6 and up.

Mind Over Muscle  May 14 4-5pm

No couch potatoes here!  Come stretch your muscles and move with the music!  This class is for ages 7-12.

Book Club May 14 5-6pm

Kids get a hands-on approach to reading with weekly projects based on their chosen book!

Youngster Classes

Messy Masterpieces May 12 & 13 4-5pm

Let your young Picasso loose as we explore the Art Masters through drawing, painting, and sculpting.  Be sure to dress for mess!

Special Events

Spring Fling at Greensboro Icehouse

This Saturday, April 25th, we'll also be joining the Greensboro Icehouse for their Spring Fling event! In addition to ice skating, Chick-fil-A will be there with their cow. All-A-Flutter Butterfly Farm Family Day!

This Saturday, April 25th, we'll be joining the All-A-Flutter Butterfly Farm for their Family Day! They offer a fun-filled day with Monarch butterflies as well as a picnic area for lunch. Movers & Shakers on Monday, April 13 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. It's Animal day this week! We'll have a wild time acting like our favorite wild animals! Long time - no talk but we're back!

Hello everyone!  It's been a long time, but we're still here!  We've been busy, busy, busy at the studio with classes, birthday parties, and special events.  Now spring is here and registration for our summer camps is open!  Here's what we've got going on this summer:

Take a Chill  June 15-17  9am-12:30pm

Ages 4-7.  Come cool off with us as we make our own stuffed penguin pals, banana splits, and lots of cool games and crafts!  $95

Come Make Some Christmas Ornaments!

Our Christmas ornaments are arriving, more each week! From simple to more intricate, we have something for all ages. Bring your kids in to make one, or call us to schedule your group. We even have some new ornaments that light up! Remember, our studio hours are M-F 11-6 and other times by reservation. Some other ideas for your group to celebrate the holidays with From Art to Zebras style are:
*Gift Making Workshop - Give us the age range of the group and we will come up with some special gift projects that are just right!
*Ornament Making Workshop - Pick up to three different ornaments for your group to choose from. Great for all ages.
*Cookie & Santa Plate Decorating Workshop - Kids will have a yummy time decorating not only cookies, but they can do Cookie & Milk plate sets and aprons as well.
*StoryTime Art Gathering - Have a special holiday storytime followed by an age appropriate craft. You may even want to include some festive snacks!
*Gifts for Giving Gathering - How about spreading some cheer to those in need this Christmas season by making some special gifts and cards while having some fun yourself!
