If you know me, you will agree I like books. I love books. Okay, I may be considered a hoarder when it comes to books. Some of my books are no longer easy to read because of missing or damaged pages. I still can't part with them. Sometimes I will use them in my artwork to add a bit of whimsy.

I love upcycling and being able to use these books for an entirely different purpose. I used some of the pages from a Mother Goose book that were undamaged and handcut each envelope. These are so cute and have been very useful for quick thank you notes. I slipped some recycled colored cardstock into each one along with a matching address label with a star shape cutout.

I love these and can't wait to make more! You can get some of your own in our studio or check out our etsy shop, small fry notables.

Happy Holiday!

Hi there! We hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend! We still have a lot going on at the studio next week, so come join us while you have a break!

Movers & Shakers on Monday, April 13 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. It's Animal day this week! We'll have a wild time acting like our favorite wild animals! We'll practice our animal moves, make animal masks, and play animal games! The price is $5/child or $10/family with 2 or more children. Please RSVP and let us know your little one will be moving and shaking with us!

Storybook Celebration on Monday, April 13 from 4:00-4:45 p.m. and Tuesday, April 14 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Bring your green thumb this week! We're going to read Planting a Rainbow and do some planting of our own! The price will be $5/child or $10/family with 2 or more children. Call us today to reserve your spot for our Storybook Celebration, hope to see you all there!

In addition to these classes, our studio open 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday for craft-making! Drop in and make a spring craft with us!

Upcoming Studio Events

Hello everyone! It's a new month and we've got a lot of great things planned for you! Here's what's going on at From Art to Zebras next week!

Movers & Shakers on Monday, April 6 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. It's Music Day! We're going to experience music in several different ways. We'll be listening to music, drawing to music, dancing, and playing games! The price is $5/child or $10/family with 2 or more children. Please RSVP and let us know your little one will be moving and shaking with us!

Storybook Celebration on Monday, April 6 from 4:00-4:45 p.m. and Tuesday, April 7 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Get ready to go wild! This week we're reading Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. We'll make monster masks and go on a wild rumpus! The price will be $5/child or $10/family with 2 or more children. Spanish Storytime is this Wednesday, April 8 from 2:00-2:45 p.m. "Margaret y Margarita" Come listen to the sweet story of friendship! We will create a craft for a friend with our new spanish words of the week. Please RSVP and let us know you are coming! $5 for one child or $10/family. Looking Ahead...

Parents' Night Out on Friday, April 17 from 6pm-9pm. Drop off the kids and have a night out while the kids have a blast. We will be playing the movie Bolt along with some superhero activities, pizza and snacks. RSVP by 4pm on Friday the 17th. $25 or bring a friend for $20 each! All ages welcome (must be potty trained).

Family Day Out on Sunday, April 19 from 2pm-4pm. Bring the family in for a magical afternoon at the studio! Enjoy the entertainment of a true magician while creating some magic of your own. RSVP by Wed. 4/15 for $15/family or pay at the door for $25/family (spaces limited). Includes craft projects, entertainment, and door prize drawing.

Girls' Night Out on Friday, April 25 from 6pm-9pm. All right girls, don't miss out on a night just for you! We will show the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua, stuff a posh pet with bling, and feast on pizza and snacks. RSVP by 4pm on 4/24. $25 or bring a friend for $20 each.
